As an organization admin, you can enable order level modifiers and add order level modifiers for your online store customers. The order level modifiers functionality allows customers to add items at checkout that are not in the categories or in the items.
This function is available after Version 2.06.04. For customers to be able to view item(s) at checkout, the web and native apps should be updated.
To enable this function:
Log in to your Moduurn admin account at admin.moduurn.com/login
Step 1: Select Locations > Manage
Step 2: Click on Order Management > scroll down to Enable Order Level Modifiers > click on Enable Order Level Modifiers > click on Save
To create Order Level Modifiers:
Step 1: Go to Menus > click on edit button on the menu you want to add this order level modifier to
Step 2: Click on Order Level Modifiers in categories area
Step 3: Click on Create Order Level Modifiers. On the new item created click on edit button
On Modifier Title field > add the name of the modifier (eg. add cutlery). Click on Publish:
This will make the item available at checkout
Note: To unpublish if the items are not in stock > click Publish to unpublish > scroll down > click Save
On Price field > type in 0 if using Counter Setting. The prices are to be added in the items' Cost Difference in step 5. If not using the Counter Setting then type in the price here.
In Description box > add a description if necessary
On Minimum and Maximum Limit > set your min and max limit. If no limits put 0 min 0 max. Select Required only if the customer must select this item at checkout. Leave it unchecked if you don’t require the customer to select the item
Taxes > click on the taxes that apply to this item you are adding (eg. HST, PST, GST)
Delivery > click on the delivery methods that apply for the item (Eg. Delivery up to 2.00KM)
Action Caption > edit the line - this the first part of your modifier question/sentence before the Modifier Title (eg. Choose to add bags. Choose to is the Action Caption and add bags is the Modifier Title)
Modifier External ID > add External ID if you have POS integration for your location. A matching External ID in MBO & your POS is required for all POS integrations.
Counter Setting > click on the circle (this will let the customer select how many items they want by clicking “+” or “-”).
Note: On Price field > type in 0 if using Counter Setting. The prices are to be added in the items' Cost Difference in step 5. If not using the Counter Setting then type in the price in the Price field.
Items/Sub Modifiers > click on the add button
Under Type > leave as Item if only one item to add. If an item has choices then use Sub Modifier.
Under Name > type in the name of your item
Under Cost Difference > type in the item price
Under Minimum Limit > set the minimum that a customer can choose (if no limit leave it at 0). If you have Sub modifiers set the minimum limit as well (if no limit leave at 0)
Under Maximum Limit > set the maximum that a customer can choose (if no limit leave it at 0). If you have Sub modifiers set the maximum limit as well (if no limit leave at 0)
Under External ID > add the External ID if you have POS integration.
When finished, click on the checkmark button on that line to save the item
Step 6: Scroll down > click Save. Repeat starting from step 2 to add a separate item.
It may take up to 30 minutes for the system server to update when enabling the function.
The user will only see the modifier at checkout.
Users can delete the item if the item is not forced.
The modifier is separate from category items. This modifier can’t be imported to items in the categories.
If the item is unforced and the customer goes to pay, they will see under the item(s) the add box for the modifier but they are still able to go to payment and continue on.
If the item is forced and the customer goes to select a payment method, they will see under the item(s) the modifier item will say required. The customer can’t go to payment until they add an item from the modifier that is required.
